When author, toy historian, and owner of Sonderho Press, Todd Coopee, has an idea for a new book, one of his first stops is a meeting with Kaszas Marketing’s Maria Ford. This has included the successful publication and launch of Light Bulb Baking: A History of the Easy Bake Oven, as well as Todd’s latest book currently in development. In addition, Todd turns to Maria to provide editing on his other writings, such as weekly blogs and contributed articles at Toy Tales.
Together, Todd & Maria develop his book idea into a plan for execution. Maria consults on the book’s major thrust, tone, and structure. This leads to decisions about the types of research and interviews that will be necessary to achieve the final product.
During the writing process, Maria offers guidance and editing on chapters and sections, which Todd integrates and uses to guide the rest of his writing. The next step is editing the full manuscript draft, followed by multiple rounds of copy editing including final “in-design” review.
Todd has found that the editing services positive impact the final result, including both visual and written content.
