When author, Todd Coopee, needed to establish North American-wide credibility, build media and public awareness for the launch of his first book, Light Bulb Baking: A History of the Easy-Bake® Oven, he turned to Kaszas Marketing.
We worked closely with Coopee to quickly establish his credibility as a subject matter expert, build an online presence, establish important media relationships, and create awareness and sales for his new non-fiction book.
Following our established best practices for developing marketing strategy, social media management, and targeted media relations, we created a plan to meet Coopee’s goals.
With a tightly integrated social media and media relations campaign, we were able to create a level of awareness and momentum that otherwise would have been impossible for the first-time author. We researched and identified target publications, writers, and editors who reached a relevant audience; and, we generated awareness and engagement through key social media channels and targeted media relations activities.
Our strategy and approach were built around conversations—starting, encouraging, and participating in conversations on very targeted topics—in both social media and more traditional modes of communication.
In just one month, we built and launched a social media and media relations campaign that established Coopee’s presence and subject matter expertise on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and YouTube.
Based on this platform, Coopee successfully (and quickly) built relationships and interacted with media, fans, collectors, book buyers, and others.
In just a few short weeks, Coopee and his book were featured in numerous media appearances and print articles. Our work for Coopee also led to the book being featured in key holiday-season buying guides and book signing events in the U.S.
Working with Coopee’s Canadian-focused media relations professional, our efforts also established an outlet to announce news regarding the book launch, book signings in key cities throughout North America, television appearances, radio spots, book reviews, and coverage in news outlets.
We continue to nurture the success of our earlier work with Coopee as we work with him on the next phase of his book-writing activities.
